Climate Change
In the coming time, Vietnam and Germany will promote cooperation in many fields, especially renewable energy, while focusing on supporting small and medium enterprises on both sides, thereby promoting economic relations, bilateral trade and industry.
As one of the provinces affected by water shortages due to climate change, Lao Cai has implemented many appropriate management and adaptation measures, especially for each organization and individual should share household and production in some districts in Lao Cai.
Japan's Nippon Sheet Glass Company recently said it would invest about $ 365 million in expanding solar glass production in the context of declining demand for renewable energy in Japan. According to the plan, the company will restart the factory in Ba Ria - Vung Tau (Vietnam) and build another factory in the United States.
On May 8, at the National Economics University, MONRE, AFD French Development Agency, National Economics University and Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held a conference "Dialogue the youth on climate change.”
In order to find a comprehensive solution to solve the problem of flooding due to the combination of the upstream flood, heavy rain and tides, Vung Tau - Go Cong sea dyke project was proposed.
On May 14, in Hanoi, MONRE, collaborated with Griffith University (Australia) to organize a workshop on sustainable coastal and marine management policies in the context of climate change. The two sides presented three project proposals within the framework of the training cooperation program in 2018.
In the morning of May 08, Vice Chairman of Soc Trang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Hieu welcomed and worked with the delegation of IUCN on the contribution of ideas to develop REDD +action plans.
On May 7, 2018, in Hanoi, French Development Agency (AFD), the Climate Change Department (MONRE) and the National Economics University co-organized a workshop on "The Economic Impact of Climate Change in Vietnam."
On April 2, 2018, People's Committee of Hau Giang Province promulgated the Plan for implementation of the Paris Climate Change Agreement in Hau Giang Province in 2018.
On April 20, in Hanoi, Climate Change Department collaborated with University of Natural Resources and Environment held a workshop to promote the coordination in implementing the Climate Convention in Vietnam, to disseminate the contents concerning the implementation of the Climate Convention and sub-laws documents of the Convention in Vietnam.
