Continue to consult to complete the draft fish sauce standard
The Ministry of Science and Technology assigned the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality in coordination with the Agricultural Product Processing and Development Department to receive comments from related parties to complete the draft standard on fish sauce.


After the Ministry of Science and Technology directed the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality to suspend the publication of TCVN 12607: 2019 standards on Fish Sauce Production Practices, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien said that this ministry will join the Ministry of Science and Technology to receive opinions of individuals and organizations; dialogue with related parties to complete the standards in the best way.

According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, over the past time, the two ministries have also received different opinions on the mentioned draft standard above. Thus, the draft national standard on fish sauce production practices has not received consensus and has not ensured the harmonization of interests of related parties.

Therefore, the leaders of the two ministries agreed to assign the Department of Agricultural Product Processing and Development together with the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality to continue receiving opinions of related parties to finalize this draft standard.
