World Intellectual Property Day April 26: Intellectual Property and Sports
In response to World Intellectual Property Day, April 20 in Ho Chi Minh City, the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam- Ministry of Science and Technology collaborated with the Department of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union to organize a Community Event to celebrate the World IP Day April 26 in Vietnam with the topic of Intellectual Property and Sports.


Attending the event, there were Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Pham Cong Tac, leader of Department of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and more than 500 people from businesses, IP community, administrators, entrepreneurs, innovators and many students of many universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City.

"Higher, faster, farther and smarter" to win

The topic of this year's World Intellectual Property Day is "Reaching the Golden Prize: Intellectual Property and Sports" to offer a closer look at sports, focusing on dissemination and lifting awareness of people and businesses about a completely new aspect in applying IP protection laws to the sport business. Thereby helping businesses, organizations and individuals operate in the field related to sports can create, develop and grow better.

Speaking at the opening of the event, Deputy Minister Pham Cong Tac said that the slogan of this year's IP Day is chosen by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) - "Reaching for gold prize: IP and sports" very well with Vietnam because our country's achievements in sports in the recent period are particularly impressive.
