The first 2-in-1 power plant in Vietnam
The largest solar power plant in the country, valued at 5,000 billion VND, has just started construction in Ninh Thuan province to supply electricity to the national power grid.

In the morning of July 7, Ninh Thuan People's Committee and Trung Nam Group held the groundbreaking ceremony for the project of Trung Nam solar power plant in Bac Phong commune and Loi Hai commune, Thuan Bac district.

The 204 MW solar power plant project is considered to be the largest solar power project in the country, up to the signing of the contract in July -2018. In addition, the project will integrate renewable energy when utilizing an area to place wind turbine power generators and solar panels. The total investment capital of the project is nearly 5,000 billion VND, expected to operate in June 2019.

The solar plant is built on an area of nearly 300 hectares with more than 705,000 solar panels installed on 7,800 rack systems. It is estimated that the total volume of electrical equipment installed for the project is over 60,000 tons. The pin is designed to be mounted on a 120-degree swivel bracket that automatically rotates independently and adjusts the direction of solar radiation for the day, or rotates to avoid the shadow of wind power poles to increase efficiency of exploitation of 15-20%.

Mr. Nguyen Tam Thinh, Chairman of Trung Nam Group, said that when put into operation, the solar power plant aims to produce about 450 million kWh per year to integrate into the national power grid; will provide electricity to Ninh Thuan province and the whole country. In addition to boosting the province's natural potential, the project will promote regional socio-economic development by prioritizing local human resources and supporting the development of regional infrastructure.
