Ben Tre: Spent more than 850 billion VND for building dykes to prevent coastal salinity
Ben Tre is considered as a province heavily affected by climate change so the situation of drought and salt intrusion has seriously affected the life and production of local people, especially in coastal districts.


Mr. Truong Duy Hai - Vice Chairman of Ben Tre People's Committee said that the Ministry of Planning and Investment approved the project investment polies to synthesize reports to the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, People Committee quickly urged to ask the concerned units to complete the report on investment policy and procedures according to the regulations of the projects under the program. This content has been approved by the provincial People's Council to invest in the project "Construction of dykes preventing salinity and connecting roads Binh Dai - Ba Tri - Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province."

Accordingly, Provincial Ben Tre Management Board of traffic works investment and construction projects is considered as an investor. With a total investment of 857 billion VND from the state budget under the national target program on climate change and green growth and other legal capital of the province to invest in upgrading dikes through 3 coastal districts, such as Binh Dai - Ba Tri - Thanh Phu. In which, the scope of this project includes severely damaged sections with a total length of 38.7 km.
