50,000 specimens are kept at Vietnam National Museum of Nature
The 1,400 specimens housed in the gallery with the topic of natural evolution are only a small part of the 50,000 specimens under the management of the Vietnam National Museum of Nature (No. 18 Hoang Quoc Viet street, Cau Giay district, Hanoi).

In which, there are more than 400 animal specimens, more than 4,000 reptile, amphibians specimens, more than 10,000 plant samples and etc. Associate Prof. Dr. Pham Van Luc said that some specimens are unique or very rare specimens of Vietnam.

Vietnam National Museum of Nature was established in accordance with Decree 27/2004 / NĐ-CP since 2004 with the function of collecting, preserving, displaying and introducing collections of specimens and materials on nature, natural resources in Vietnam, serving the dissemination of knowledge, education, scientific research, sightseeing and tourism.

The gallery free opens to visitors and students, divided into several areas, reflect the formation and development of life over 3.6 billion years. For example, the area of evolutionary biology is engraved on the surface of the wood showing the life world of the five organisms, such as pre-natives, protozoa, fungi, plants and animals.

The historic life area features fossil specimens of four geological periods: Precambrian (4,500-541 million years ago), Paleozoic (541-252 million years ago), Great middle era (252-66 million years ago) and the great Cenozoic (66 million years ago) and etc.

Ngoài ra, khu trưng bày còn có phòng chiếu phim 3D với 4 ca chiếu mỗi ngày (sáng 2 ca, chiều 2 ca) với các nội dung về vũ trụ, biển, khủng long, côn trùng, cá và sự tiến hóa của loài người.

In addition, the gallery also has a 3D movie room with 4 shifts a day (2 shifts in the morning, 2 shifts in the afternoon) with the contents of space, sea, dinosaurs, insects, fishes and evolution of people.
