The government issued electronic identification codes according to international standards
Regulations on electronic identification codes have covered all types of agencies and organizations, agreed to international standards to serve the connection and sharing of data between information systems and databases of ministries, sectors and localities.

Recently, the Prime Minister issued Decision No.20 on electronic identification codes of agencies and organizations connected with data sharing among ministries, agencies and localities.

According to the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), regulations on electronic identification codes have covered all types of agencies and organizations, agreed by international standards to serve data connection and sharing between information systems and databases of ministries, branches and localities, ensuring the inheritance and reuse of the specified electronic identification codes.

Specifically, Decision No.20 of the Prime Minister stipulates that electronic identifiers of ministries, branches and localities are characters with a maximum length of 35 characters and are divided into groups. The characters include dots (.), Digits 0 to 9 and letters A to Z (uppercase in the English alphabet). Each character group is used to identify agencies and organizations at the corresponding level, the character groups are developed from left to right and separated by dots.

The electronic identification code of an enterprise, cooperative, or business household is a string of characters corresponding to the enterprise code, cooperative code and business household code according to the current law on  enterprises codes, cooperative codes, and business household codes.

For other agencies and organizations, according to the provisions of Decision No.20, an electronic identifier is a string of characters consisting of two consecutive elements; There are no characters to separate between components; The first component, in the leftmost position, is the code identifying the identifier schema, the next component being the identification code of the organization or unit in the identifier schema.

When connecting, and sharing data with the ministries, branches, localities, groups of agencies and organizations above, they must build an identification scheme for their groups of agencies and organizations and send them to the Ministry of Information and Communications for synthesis, publishing, making sure the code that identifies the identifier schema is not duplicated.
