Aiding Vietnam 30.2 million USD to respond climate change
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, this new project will be implemented in 6 years, directly benefiting more than 222,400 people in Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Khanh Hoa and etc.


In the afternoon of March 13, the Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development informed, at the 25th Executive Board meeting recently, the Green Climate Fund approved a grant of 30.2 million USD - through the Union Development Program (UNDP) to support the project "Strengthening the resilience of small-scale agricultural production in the water insecurity due to climate change in the Central Highlands and South Central Coast of Vietnam" Vietnam - SACCR ”.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, this new project will be implemented in 6 years, directly benefiting more than 222,400 people in the provinces of Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, and more than 335,000 other people are also expected to benefit indirectly through training and technical assistance, increasing access to information on climate risks and widespread dissemination of adaptive smart agriculture best practices to climate change.
