Ho Chi Minh City has 2 projects entering the semi-finals of the contest "Startup Project"
The projects that reach the semi-finals of the contest, team leaders will be trained professional competence by local and foreign experts.

The 5th "Startup Project" contest, co-organized by the Central Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City and the Center for Business Research and Enterprise Support, has selected 105 projects to enter the semi-finals.

Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City has 2 projects in the semi-finals, the project " Coconut water honey and valuable products from coconut water" by Phan Minh Tien and the project "Cold-dried vegetable powder" by Nguyen Ngoc Huong.

According to the Organization Board, a total of 225 participating projects from 48 provinces, cities across the country. The percentage of projects going to the semifinals reached 46.66% compared to the number of entries (105/225), the number of provinces and cities with semi-final projects was 40/48 (reaching 82%).

In addition, many provinces and cities have a very high number of semi-finals compared to the registered projects, such as Tra Vinh Province 5/5; Ho Chi Minh City 2/2, Hau Giang 7/8; Nghe An 8/9; Thanh Hoa 4/5; Hanoi 5/7; An Giang 7/11; Dong Nai 2/3; Gia Lai, Dak Nong, Son la 2/2; Thanh Hoa 4/5; Bac Kan 3/5 and etc.

The semi-final projects will be trained by domestic and foreign experts to improve their capacity. According to experts, most of the semi-finalists have come up with innovative solutions to promote local agricultural products. It is a special point that the "Startup Project" contest has been held after 4 years.

The semi-final round is divided into 3 exam areas: Semifinal 1, October 8 - 9 at the Startup Support Center (Hanoi) with 44 projects (Northern and Northern Central regions); Semifinal 2, competition on 16 - 17/10/2019 at TTC Convention Center (Ben Tre) with 36 projects (Mekong Delta area); Semi-finals 3 on 23 - 24/10 at Coffee World Museum (Dak Lak) with 25 projects (Southeast region, Central Highlands, South Central). The final round is scheduled to be held on November 23, 24, 2019 at the Unified Hall (Ho Chi Minh City).
