Promote the application of nuclear science and technology to serve socio-economic development
This is the wish of many experts and scientists at the 13th National Conference of Science and Technology (VINANST-13) held in Quang Ninh from 7-9 / 8/2019. The conference attracted the participation of many experts, scientists, managers of ministries, branches, research institutes, universities and domestic and international enterprises.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Pham Cong Tac emphasized that research, development, application and training in Vietnam's atomic energy sector have gained many achievements.

Thereby, creating many technologies, products and services for the socio-economic development, meeting the requirements of the country. Especially the research and application of nuclear and radioisotope techniques in the field of health, industry, environment.

Discussing at the Conference, Mrs.Nina Palmer (OENE Office of Nuclear Energy - US Department of Energy) emphasized that the global energy market over the past few years has experienced tremendous growth, in addition to traditrional energy sources, renewable energy sources, including energy, have been particularly concerned by many countries.

Mrs. Nina Palmer also introduced the OENE Nuclear Energy Office with the mission of promoting the use of nuclear energy to meet the demand for US energy supplies, as well as opportunities for cooperation with Vietnam to addressing environmental issues to meet the demand for energy security, reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
