Application of information technology in radiation safety inspection at the Nuclear Research Institute
In order to support the preparation, record keeping and organization of radiation safety knowledge testing, the National Institute of Nuclear Research has put computer and software testing systems into testing.

Computer system of the Nuclear Research Institute

Initially, the system was installed and tested with 10 accounts and used for checking the knowledge of radiation safety for staffs of the National Institute of Nuclear Research according to Circular No. 34/2014-TT / BKHCN (TT34) dated 27/11 / 2014 of the Ministry of Science and Technology regulates radiation safety training for radiation workers, safety managers and training service activities.

The organization of tests on computers has helped simplify the procedures for issues, examinations, statistics and keeping results. After completing the course, trainees will know their results immediately, all information about the trainees' writing process will be fully stored on the computer and can be printed on paper for archival purposes according to the law.

If the banking system of questions is fully compiled, the learning materials are posted on the website, the teaching and testing of radiation safety knowledge for radiation workers can be done anytime, anywhere, accurately, objectively and effectively. Radiation workers can self-study radiation safety knowledge according to the documents provided on the system or contact training centers on radiation safety; After preparing enough knowledge, trainees can register to participate in the test on the network. This solution will improve the quality of radiation safety training (widely disseminate knowledge about radiation safety, independent and objective testing), simplify procedures for radiation safety and save the cost of training and checking for radiation safety according to Circular TT34 at present. Currently, the internet network is almost covered all over the territory of Vietnam, so trainees in the border areas can still participate in studying and checking the radiation safety at any time with low cost and effectiveness.
