Many leading companies in the United States want to cooperate in technology and innovation
At the meeting among the Leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the High-level Enterprise Delegation of the US - ASEAN Business Council, many leading companies in the US, such as 3M, Dow, JUUL, Amazon, Qualcomm proposed desires to promote cooperation in technology and innovation.

In the morning of March 13, 2019 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), the Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of Vietnam Bui The Duy had a meeting with and worked with the high-level Enterprise delegation of the US-ASEAN Business Council. Mr. Michael Michalak, former US Ambassador to Vietnam, is currently Senior Vice President and Regional Executive Director, US-ASEAN Business Council, as Co-Chair.

Attending the meeting, there were representatives of the US Embassy in Vietnam; representatives from 3M, Apple, Agoda, Bay Global Strategies, Dow, JUUL, Google, HP Inc, Microsoft, Netflix, PayPa and Qualcomm. On the side of the Ministry of Science and Technology, there were representatives of the leaders of relevant units.

At the meeting, the two sides exchanged the contents of the same concern. Ambassador Michael Michalak expressed his gratitude to the leader of the Ministry of Science and Technology for taking the time to welcome and work with the delegation.

The Ambassador affirmed: “We are looking forward to this meeting, because I am very interested in the topic of innovation and the policy that Vietnam is aiming to develop innovation as well as startup businesses, small and medium enterprises, and Vietnam's digital economy.”

At the end of the meeting, the two sides expressed their desire to cooperate between the Ministry of Science and Technology and US enterprises will become stricter and develop stronger in the future.
