To Lich river has total length of 13, 3 km and 20 km2 of drainage flow; it located in Hoan Kiem district, Ba Dinh, Dong Da, Thanh Xuan, Thanh Tri. Water flow can reach to 150.000 m3/ day. Most of urban waste water is untreated so water of river becomes more and more polluted. In an attempt to improve water quality, Ha Noi Drainage One Member limited Company set up 38 cluster of aquatic crafts in To Lich river.
The research team of Institute for Science and Environment Technology – Polytechnic University (Hanoi) studied the impact levels of sludge on performance of household wastewater treatment by Sequencing bioreactor technology (SBR) and found the optimal concentration of sludge to treat wastewater effectively.

Researchers at Key Laboratory of Digital Control and Technical System, Ho Chi Minh Polytechnic University, have developed a smart greenhouse.
