Which industry does use the most artificial intelligence?
Artificial intelligence (AI) is considered to be the most important fundamental technology that drives digital transformation in industries, sectors, and corporate organizations. According to forecasts, by 2030, AI will contribute an additional $ 15.7 trillion to the global economy. In 2019, 40% of digital conversion initiatives will use AI technology.

At the workshop "Trends and achievements in the application of artificial intelligence and universal Internet in Vietnam" organized by FPT on May 3, leading experts on artificial intelligence (AI), automation , IoT Vietnamese people are working in large domestic and foreign organizations and enterprises who have shared information on this issue.

According to Dr. Dao Thanh Binh, Senior Computational System Group, Global Technology Management Division, Rakuten Inc., Japan, AI is being applied in many areas of e-Government, smart houses, smart transport system, high-tech agriculture, financial technology, automatic chat (chatbot), and smart business.

Governments, companies and academies have invested heavily in AI with the amount of investment increasing rapidly every year. Vietnam fully has economic resources, people and opportunities to accelerate the process of learning, gaining experiences and developing AI-based applications to catch up with other countries.

According to Mr. Le Hong Viet - FPT Technology Director, Banking and Finance are currently the most applied areas of AI. Besides, Telecom or High-tech also showed an explosive investment in AI.

In particular, in terms of ability to receive and demand, a survey by PwC shows that Vietnam ranks second in the top 10 countries in terms of the percentage of consumers who own and intend to buy equipment in a family with AI technology.

With clear objectives on the digital transformation strategy as well as the need to popularize AI technology to businesses in Vietnam, FPT develop underground waves in the market, and invested in AI platform research and development activities in 2013.

The workshop is one of the side activities of the event connecting international scientific and technological information resources to commercialize research results among universities and enterprises held by the National Department of Science and Technology Information, Ministry of Science and Technology from 03 - 06/5/2019.
