Application of blockchain technology, consumers can easily monitor livestock products
Blockchain technology is one of the breakthrough technology trends, which helps to manage the animal husbandry process conveniently, safely and improve product quality.


Apply blockchain to livestock

Dong Nai will also be the first locality of the whole country to be selected to pilot animal husbandry management technology according to blockchain technology.

Currently, Dong Nai is deploying 3 projects of management and traceability in animal husbandry, including: Animal food traceability project, cattle and poultry farm management program and program building safe breeding areas.

In the coming time, Dong Nai will pilot the management programs on large-scale livestock farms, then replicate in the area.

The General Statistics Office stated that the management system of TE-FOOD will be applied to farms from 30 pigs and 1,000 chickens or more. TE-FOOD will help monitor disease, consumption, traceability for pork and chicken meat.

When applying the management technology of TE-FOOD for livestock and poultry, it will help to make accurate statistics on the total number of animals, access the origin of products, thereby better controlling and managing the disease situation.

Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People's Committee Vo Van Chanh said, he will work closely with the General Department of Statistics to deploy software for management systems in raising TE-FOOD in series and blocks to soon put them into use, because of retrieval of origin, livestock management according to scientific processes, disease safety, help the livestock sector develop sustainably.
