Equipment for monitoring fishing vessel of Vietnamese people
The system is designed with many effects, helping managers and owners know the movement of fishing vessels, data transmission, and capture output.

Scientists at the Center for High Technology Development under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology have successfully researched fishing vessel monitoring equipment. Equipment helps owners or managers can remotely monitor the operation of fishing vessels, people on board are guided to fishing positions or warned when leaving regulated waters.

Navigation function is shown through the screen mounted on the ship. A software has also been built to store the entire track in memory, displaying fishing vessels with the same team and group. Users can also make phone calls, text messages to fixed or mobile phone networks via the HF (High Frequency) frequency already available on existing fishing vessels.

Through this frequency can also transmit data between fishing vessels and shore stations, or between ships together without losing monthly subscription fees. When making phone calls or texting on land-based mobile phones, users have to pay for mobile phone charges.

The device integrates both satellite and 3G technologies to use the nearshore area when HF waves cannot be transmitted. In case the channel is transmitted through the radio, the device automatically switches to the built-in satellite channel on fishing vessels.

Through the application installed on smartphones, owners or managers can monitor the operation of fishing vessels remotely. All information on fishermen's production and demand will be updated through this software.
