Remote-control energy save device reduces 30% of power consumption
The remote control power saving device allows the user to adjust the power consumption of the lamp by changing the voltage applied to the lamp according to the preset rules.

The remote control power saving device is developed by Dr. Ngo Tuan Kiet and engineer Truong Quoc Thanh - Institute of Energy Science (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology). This energy saving device is capable of adjusting the power consumption of the lamp by changing the voltage applied to the lamp according to the pre-set rule.

According to engineer Truong Quoc Thanh, the device can adjust the saving power at three levels of 85-100%, 80-85% and 60-70% of designed capacity. In addition, this device can also increase the capacity of the lamp by pairing 2 or 3 transformers in parallel.

In the event of a malfunction, the reversing circuit will automatically switch to the temporary grid to ensure continuous illumination. In particular, the system can be controlled remotely, without staffs to adjust directly.

The equipment had been installed in three routes of Tra Vinh City, Quang Trung, Ao Ba Om and Kien Thi Nhan in 2016. Through this, the system has saved 30% -37% of electricity consumption. .

The test results show that the power saving device is perfectly suited to similar products and suitable to the actual conditions and requirements of the power system in Vietnam.
